Willow Creek Farm // 6.9.19
Madison + Alex met in college at Truett-McConnell & have been together nearly 2 years now! They chose to have their wedding here at Willow Creek Farm, and we could not have been more grateful getting to know & work with such an incredibly sweet couple! We reached out to Madison to see if she would share some of her experiences + memories of their Big Day -- continue reading to see what she said!
"We began dating in March of 2018. He proposed 5 months later, and we had a 10 month engagement. Alex was graduating college in May of 2019, so we got married in June of that summer."
- The Proposal Story -
"Alex took me on a beautiful picnic in Unicoi Park located in
Helen, Ga. We talked about life and he shared what he
wanted our life to look like in 5 years from then, 10 years
from then, and so on. He reached into his backpack and
pulled out a Bible with the name “Madison Reynolds”
engraved on it and he opened it up to Ephesians. He read
to me what God’s standards for marriage are and how
husbands are supposed to love their wives. As I was bawling
he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee to ask
me to marry him :)"
"The planning process was extremely stressful considering we were both in college and both collegiate athletes. Neither one of our families lived near by, so we depended on one another which was a blessing. Although it was stressful, I cannot imagine how much more stressful it would have been without Allison Dolph at Willow Creek Farm, as she was literally my rock through the whole process."
"My worst fear happened on our wedding day.. it stormed. We were supposed to get married outside by the creek, but then we had to move the ceremony to under the pavilion at the last minute. However, the wedding day was perfect because at the end of the day, we were finally married and beginning such a beautiful journey together. The decorations were beautiful, the venue did a wonderful job accommodating the weather and making sure that everything was in place and organized so that my family and myself could just enjoy the day."
"My favorite thing about being married is that no matter what, I never have to endure this life alone. God has blessed me with a partner who is going to walk beside me through every season of life: the good, the bad, and the worst. Loving someone unconditionally is the hardest thing either one of us has ever endured, but it is so beyond worth it."
Thank you Madison + Alex -- we wish you both the best that life and marriage has to offer!
